Air conditioners

You've decided on air conditioning, what do you need to pay attention to?

Before buying, it makes sense to think about what kind of air conditioner you want, where you want to install it, how big a room you want to cool, how often you want to use it and how much you are willing to pay for it.

For air conditioners, attention should be paid to :

Examples of built-in filters:
1.) Active filter, this type of filter removes dust particles, odours and smoke from the air.
2.) An electrostatic precipitator combined with an active filter cleans the air of very fine particles and allergens such as pollen.
3.) For the most sensitive people and patients, an air conditioner with an ioniser is recommended.

  • Noise of the outdoor unit, especially if you live in a conurbation, where noise can also be a nuisance to neighbours.
  • As with all electrical appliances, air conditioning is important for energy efficiencyespecially if the air conditioning is used a lot.
  • Space cooling and heating

You can use air conditioning to cool and heat rooms

Warmer and warmer summers require us to install a good cooling system to ensure comfortable summer living.

  • Cooling is done by installing air-conditioning units, which are also used for heating during the transition period. In smaller apartments, the air conditioners are installed in the living room and the other rooms are cooled by opening the door. In houses or larger buildings, several air-conditioning units will need to be installed for efficient cooling. When choosing an air conditioner, it is extremely important to check its energy efficiency and operating volume. This is particularly important when installing in bedrooms and other rooms where quiet is desirable.
  • Alternatively, the heating system can also be used to cool the building during the summer months. Such a system requires surface heating/cooling and the installation of a heat pump. Depending on the possibilities of the building and our preferences, we can opt for floor, wall or ceiling heating/cooling.
  • 5 rules

worth considering when using air conditioning

    1. Setting temperatures

On hot days, do not overdo the very low temperature settings. The maximum temperature difference between the outside temperature and the room temperature should be 5 degrees Celsius. If the temperature differences are greater, it is not good for our body and the costs will be high.

    2. Installing the air conditioner

It is best to install the air conditioner in a place where it will not be exposed to direct sunlight and will not be covered by furniture, curtains or other objects. Adjust the air directional dampers to direct the air flow away from the area where you are moving or sitting.

    3. Cleaning

The air conditioner must be cleaned regularly. Uncleaned filters breed dangerous bacteria that can cause serious illnesses. These include Legionella pneumophila, which causes pneumonia. We recommend that you clean your air conditioner thoroughly before each season, following the manufacturer's instructions.

    4. Exposure to cold air

Use air conditioning very wisely when you have small children, elderly people or sick people in the house. Exposure to cold air can quickly make them ill.

    5. Rapid room cooling

Avoid rapidly cooling rooms when you are in them. Use room thermostats instead, where you can set timer programmes and set the desired temperatures.
